Designer Boys breathe fresh air into The Glades Residences

It might be that fresh country air but celebrity interior stylists Gavin Atkins and Warren Sonin have a fresh new approach.

Fresh from their Byron Hinterland lifestyle acreage, they were seen in styling mode at The Glades Residences golf course community. Getting their inspiration from the breathtaking golf course vistas The Boys were seen on the course bringing some luxe styling to the outdoors in the form of some Louis XV-style chairs.

“The Glades home designs are fantastic. You really feel like you are living in the middle of the golf course – and so we decided to try it out,” said Gavin and Warren.

It was not long though before Thakral’s Gold Coast overseer Mr Bernard Durack stepped in and put them onto some real work.

Gavin and Warren, made famous on the high rating first series of The Block TV renovation show, have prepared some 750 display properties in three years before leaving Sydney. Their first project in Queensland was at The Glades Residences in 2005 – and that was the start of a long association with Thakral, having now completed several display homes and apartments.

Most recently they did the interior styling of the second stage of Peninsula homes – the creme de la creme of the Glades property collection. But with the display home now sold for $1.445 million, they were called back to put their magic touch on another Peninsula home display which is open for inspection from this weekend.

And you will get to see more of them – and their work - at The Glades Residences in Robina as they front a marketing campaign to promote the prestigious lifestyle on offer.
